I have spent the last few days trying to figure out how to navigate all of this uncertainty. The fear of trying to keep this space alive. My life line. Our life line. So many of my employees depend on this job to pay rent, buy food and live their lives. Myself included. There is no manuscript. No handbook that would prepare us for what is happening right now. Because we have always stood as a place for community to gather-Zendo has been faced with many hard decisions. As of today, I have had to let my staff go. It was the hardest decision I have had to make since the opening of the shop. Heart breaking. My staff has always been like a second family. The soul of the shop. I can only hope it’s temporary. That soon we will all be able to resume some sort of normalcy. Until that day comes, I will be at the shop from 7-3pm daily. I will only be offering items to go. You are free to call in orders(926-1636) and I will happily bring them to your car. We have an online shop on our website, where you can order beans and they can be shipped to you. I want to extend the most heartfelt thanks to my entire team at Zendo for letting me cry and holding space for me today. I am here for you in whatever way you need. You all are the most amazing people, and you have made my shop what it is today. To the community that has shown up and supported us, thank you. From the bottom of my heart.
